EADSTAN is an independent provider of Building Control and Fire Engineering Services, delivering compliance oversight across residential, commercial, all construction projects. The company's role is to ensure projects meet the requirements of the Building Regulations, safeguarding standards of safety, quality, and compliance using Registered Building Inspectors (RBI) we are not Registered Building Control Approvers (RBCA) as awaiting licence application from Building Safety Regulator (BSR)
Working with architects, developers, and consultants from the initial design stage through to completion. EADSTAN provides plan checking, site inspections, and final sign off inspections, all delivered with focus on clarity, efficiency, and professional standards. in addition, we are a leading fire engineering consulting firm providing expert solutions for a wide range of circumstances. With a team of highly skilled professionals, we offer comprehensive services to deliver Building Safety. EADSTAN Ltd is currently applying for Registered Building Control Approver status. Until registration is confirmed, EADSTAN does not act as a Registered Building Control Approver or submit statutory initial notices. Please contact us to confirm the correct route for your project.

Residential Building Control and Fire Safety
Ensuring compliance and safety for new builds, extensions, and refurbishments. EADSTAN provides plan checks, site inspections, Fire Strategies and fire plan mark up for building control submission, delivering clarity and confidence for every stage of your residential project. Working on all types of residential buildings, including: Private Dwellings: Detached, semi-detached, terraced houses, and bungalows. Multi-Occupancy Buildings: Blocks of flats, maisonettes, and student accommodation. Temporary or Care Facilities: Nursing homes, hospices, and residential care properties. Short-Term/Transient Accommodations: Hotels, boarding houses, and hostels. Outbuildings & Additions: Garages, loft conversions, and home extensions. Mixed-Use Properties: Buildings that combine residential units with commercial spaces (e.g., a flat above a retail shop). Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs): Under stricter guidelines like the Building Safety Act, special rules apply to higher-risk residential properties. In England, this generally includes self-contained multi-dwelling buildings that are 18 metres or higher, or have 7 or more storeys. These properties are monitored by the national Building Safety Regulator (BSR) rather than local authorities.

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation oversees the process to ensure all building work adheres to strict safety and structural standards. Fire Engineering using BS 7974 principles where required.
